After graduating from Rutgers University in January 2018, where she studied both Journalism and Media Studies and Political Science, 

 

Kelly Fleming is currently working in media and entertainment in New York City and performing standup comedy. In July 2018, she published her first book, titled My Friend Mia.

She has been working in the NY Metropolitan area since the age of 18, where she started writing for DOWNTOWN Magazine and published an essay about the construction of the Twin Towers before heading off to start college. 

 

Kelly is passionate about television, comedy, and political satire specifically, after interning at The Daily Show in 2017 and writing for the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs in the summer of 2017, where she lived in Washington, D.C. covering the Syrian War and the Arab-Israeli Conflict.

Kelly is the recipient of the 2017 Ladley K. Pearson Memorial Scholarship, the 2016 Edward J. Mack Memorial Scholarship, awarded by the Rutgers School of Communications, and the John Slusher Journalism Scholarship in 2014.
